Left Behind
When I was little, we watched Left Behind at church (the movie about the rapture with Kirk Cameron in it). I remember being really affected by the scene where people got "left behind". Their family and friends that were taken just left behind remnants of neatly folded clothes. One day after school, the streets seemed empty. There were barely any cars on the road. My neighborhood seemed silent and when I got into my house... what did I see? Neatly folded laundry. No one was home. Then my brother walked in from the garage and I thought, "of course, he would be left behind too". I started crying. Jk, I didn't cry, but for a split second I really wanted to. Honestly, sometimes when it seems more desolate than usual, I fear that I really got left behind.
