A sappy, but nice quote.
"It doesn’t make sense to call ourselves ugly, because we don’t really see ourselves. We don’t watch ourselves sleeping in bed, curled up and silent with chests rising and falling with our own rhythm. We don’t see ourselves reading a book, eyes fluttering and glowing. You don’t see yourself looking at someone with love and care inside your heart. There’s no mirror in your way when you’re laughing and smiling and happiness is leaking out of you. You would know exactly how bright and beautiful you are if you saw yourself in the moments where you are truly yourself."

I've always loved this quote.
“When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice.”

Ideas
“You know, an idea is just an idea. There seems to…the kind of epiphanies that you have, like the little sudden bursts of light, they’re very small and they’re very short and it’s the pursuit of the idea that’s the important thing. I know a lot of people who have way better ideas than I do that - much more frequently than I do that just can’t sit down and actually do it. Ideas are such are a little overrated really; it’s the work behind the idea that’s the important thing.”

Something I read today...
"Sometimes I’ll get a call or email from someone five years after the last contact and I’ll think, oh right, I hated that person. But they would never have known, of course. Let’s see if I still hate them. Very often I find that I don’t. Or that I hated them for a dumb reason. Or that they were having a bad day. Or much more likely, that I had been having a bad day."

SONGZ
There are certain songs that trigger very distinct memories. I usually hear these songs out of the blue and they always fill me with a million emotions.
Dreaming of You by Selena: when I was in 5th grade and went to a week long camp and my girl friends and I sang this song together before we went to sleep. We got in trouble for not sleeping so we started singing it in a whisper. HAHAHAHA.
Anything by Jinusean: being driven around in my brother’s car in middle school and thinking I was DA SHIT. My brother thought he was the shit too with his Alpine stereo LOL.
Hero by Mariah Carey: making a recording (tape) with my friends at Six Flags and thinking we were DA SHIT. I still have the tape.
Chasing Pavements by Adele: when I was convinced my heart was broken and I cried in my car in front of Dan Sung Sa for all to see.
Never Meant by American Football: liking a guy and being extremely emo about the whole thing.
How to Love by Lil Wayne: when I first moved out to LA and I thought I had made a mistake and was living on Eunice's couch. I forced Eunice to listen to this song a trillion times because I liked it so much.
Like You’ll Never See Me Again by Alicia Key: Ester. They played it on repeat at her funeral before the service started. It makes me tear up every time no matter where I am or who I’m with.

Orange things
When I was little, my brother and I visited my uncle and his family in Korea. He owned a Korean grocery store. As a kid, that is like... a kid in a candy store.... literally. He sold a lot of candy there. Anyways, my brother and I were OBSESSED with these Korean Cheetos because they came with Chester the Cheetah stickers. We literally ate all the Cheetos my uncle sold... LITERALLY ALL OF THEM.. LITERALLY. I no longer eat Cheetos.
When I was little (part 2), my family and I went to Mexico. I'm not especially picky with my food, but I don't like beans (celery and food with faces still attached are also on that nono list). Most of the food during that trip was either made with beans or smothered in beans... so, little Cindy being the brat that she was, refused to eat any of it. Instead, she opted out for buying all the orange Tic Tacs in the gift shop and eating only that for the remainder of her trip (I don't know why Cindy started speaking in 3rd person). I no longer eat orange Tic Tacs.

Things I truly love Part II
Continuation from a list I created in 2011:
Things I truly love LIST
1. Electric Toothbrush
I think this might be one of my favorite things I own. I got one last year and I couldn't believe I waited so long. My teeth have never felt so clean! Everyone who is NOT using an electric toothbrush to brush their pearly whites (or yellows) are seriously missing out and probably have nasty teeth (This was from 2011 and I'm still a fan in 2014).
2. Klean Kanteen (I don't like that they spelled their name like that) INSULATED (make sure it's INSULATED) bottle. No joke, this shit is amazing. It keeps my water cold for 10+ hours.... seriously, 10+ HOURS OF COLD WATER. I'm like the Oprah of Amazon, please trust me on this one. Btw, if 20 oz. is not enough water for you, Hydro Flask makes a 40 oz. It's like carrying a small baby around, but if you drink a lot of water, it is worth it.
3. That is all. Come back in 2017 for item #3. It'll be amazing.
